From an original painting by Wilfred Hardy GAvA, specially commissioned for Airextra, the scene depicts R6915 flown by F/0 John Dundas shooting down a Luftwaffe Bf110. This aircraft, which made 57 operational flights during the Battle of Britain, survived the war and is displayed in the Imperial War Museum at South Lambeth.
