CONCORDE . . . CLEARED FOR SERVICE - French and British air-worthiness certificates were awarded to the BAC/Aerospatiale Concorde supersonic transport in the final quarter of 1 975, clearing the way for services to start in January. In a major feature in this issue, we describe the flight test programme that has made this milestone possible, totalling 5,500 hrs on eight aircraft.
