ON THE COVER - Top: Two EAV-8Bs returning to their Rota base after a sortie. The main Spanish Navy base has a complement of 12 new EAV-8B aircraft, all now delivered. The EAV-8B is powered by a Rolls-Royce Pegasus Mk 152 engine. Note that the EAV-8B has blue-grey upper surfaces rather than the light grey of the earlier machines (Rolls-Royce). Inset: The Vladivar Volka Yak-50 D-EIVR was a new sight in the 1988 display season. Here it is being flown by Richard Goode at Guernsey last September
