FRONT COVER: LNER Class B17 4-6-0 No.61662 Manchester United at Liverpool Street station on 9th April 1957. This was one of the members of the class named after soccer clubs, their nameplates carried above a splasher panel painted in the club colours either side of a brass half-football; No.6l662 wears Manchester Lnited's famous red.
