Woodworking for many people is seasonal. They hibernate in the workshop during winter then, once the long evenings are here, they're beavering away in the garden. A friend pointed out to me recently that summer sees us woodworkers propagating living things; in winter we're working with dead materials, trying hard to bring them to life...(thanks Jan). Please, no letters telling me that wood is a living, breathing substance! This is the time of the year when most of us think about holidays. It's a chance to get away from the routine of work for a zoeek or two. If you're an occasional woodworker you may set aside time for that special project, A few days spent in the workshop can be all the holiday some of us need. Whatever you decide to do, keep up the woodworking and enjoy yourself!
