NEWS FOCUS SPECIAL: HALF A CENTURY OF CLASS 20s - The Class 20 fleet made its first appearance on British Railways in July 1957, since when it has proved to be a veritable workhorse for a variety of companies. The big annual Barrow Hill roundhouse diesel gala on 14-15 July will feature no less than 22 of them, with four working main line shuttles to the Lafarge Cement Works in Hope, Derbyshire.
