NEWS FOCUS SPECIAL: WELL AGAIN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! - Those who were lucky enough to visit the Bodmin & Wenford Railway over the weekend of 21-22 October were due to have seen the legendary pair of surviving Beattie well tanks running together in Cornwall for the first time in 44 years, thanks to the benevolence of the linea€ s benefactor Alan Moore. However, its fast-track overhaul not only involved traditional restoration, but the a€~undoinga€ of work carried out in previous attempts which had been made, albeit in good faith, to get it running again.
