Competition Time:
The nights are drawing in and many of you will be getting down to the modelling that you have put off during the summer.

Whilst you are beavering away at your workbench, or day-dreaming over a hot drink please give some consideration to how you are going to vote in our Model Of The Year poll.

This is your chance to give deserving manufacturers a pat on the back. Last year we presented EFE with two awards at the British International Toy Fair - one for best new die-cast and one for best commercial model. Will they do it again this year or will OOC's improved details or ABC, the new entrant to the UK market, topple them from their perch? It is your decision.

We have a very special prize for one of our readers, a pre-production prototype of ABC's first UK outline release, complete with a letter of authenticity from ABC Models. This is something that you cannot buy and would make a unique addition to any collection. Best of all, entry to the competition is free.

We make no apology for lengthy studies of the ABC Volvo Ailsa, C'sM's Short Dragon and EFE's Scania / Wright models in this issue. All three companies have different philosophies and all three would have you believe that their models are the best on the market. The only reason that we don't have an OOC review as well is that neither the Plaxton Panorama nor the Bova Futura arrived in time. They will be a treat for the next issue.
