It is hard to believe that it is once again time to ask you all to vote in our Model Of The Yew poll. This the third year that we have run the poll and it is your chance to give deserving manufacturers a pat on the back.
So far EFE have won both the Best New Die-cast and Best Commercial Model categories for two years running. Will they make it a hat-trick or will one of the other manufacturers beat them this year? The answer lies with you, our readers. See page 23 for details of how to vote.
We have been badgering Mike Hill to explain how to produce decals on a computer for quite a while now. The resulting article starts on page 12 and works through a real project from start to finish. Whilst we realise that not everyone has access to a computer we hope that for those of you who do it will add a valuable tool to your modelling armoury.
Chester Model Showbus has a reputation for being a friendly show and this year there were some impressive displays on view. We have pictures from the event on page 11 and in other places in the magazine. It was interesting to note that three of the displays were models of real locations. Perhaps this trend will develop over the coming year.
Finally, we have the EFE and OOC release schedules. OOC have now changed to a bi-annual release program, so there is a lot to mull over. Look at page 21 and then start fattening up your piggy bank. If this is your first issue of Model Buses, welcome aboard. If not, thank you for your continued support. Enjoy y this issue and make more of your hobby with Model Buses.
