Off Topic:
There's a quantity of editorial in this issue that does, how should I put this, not involve buses. Before you get out a sheet of card to write a stiff letter, let me explain. There's a page devoted to the Cararama cars that have invaded every model bus and railway layout set in or around the present time. Popular wisdom is that they are 1/72nd scale. We've actually measured them and know differently.

Two pages are devoted to motorising the OOC Feltham tram. Trams were part of the same organisations that ran many of the country's buses for many years. Even if you don't want to motorise your EFE STLs you might just be tempted to have a tram pottering up and down a length of track.

Then there are three pages devoted to building a lorry kit. The lorry in question is a wrecker that would be at home in, or helping out, any bus fleet. Not only does the article show what is involved in building a complex white metal kit, it also touches on that taboo subject of weathering. Mind you, we haven't forgotten about buses. We have a white metal kit conversion, some die-cast conversions with a Scottish theme, some large scale models and a look at the various die-cast models that have been released representing Ribble.

There are no product reviews in this issue but they will be back in the next one.

If this is your first issue of Model Buses, welcome aboard. If not, thank you for your continued support. Enjoy this issue and make more of your hobby with Model Buses.
