Cover: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Toowoomba's annual Carnival of Flowers did not feature a steam hauled excursion service this year. Instead, the services of Cairns-Kuranda Scenic Railway Clyde/EMD unit 1774 were utilised. On Sunday 27 September, the last day of celebrations, 1774 in its distinctive 'Buda-dji' livery rounds the curve to enter the heritage listed Ballard Tunnel with a Spring Bluff to Toowoomba shuttle train. Opposite: On Saturday 15 August, a C class Clyde/EMD quartet of C510, C509, C507 and C504 approaches Capertee tunnel with LS06 Airly to Lidsdale loaded coal train.
