Modelling an electrified railway - Alan Whitehouse discusses the particular problems that modelling an overhead electrified railway can produce, using his 2FS circular layout Mini MSW as an example. BR shock absorbing vans - In order to build the eight-shoe clasp brake variant of these vans, Dave Spencer combined two Parkside Dundas 4mm scale wagon kits. Clock Abbott - A minimum-space ex-LMS terminus, set in the northwest of England during steam days, described by Ken Ball and Terry Smith. Despite its small size it offers good operating potential. Beddgelert 1910 - Although the Portmadoc, Beddgelert & South Snowdon Railway never achieved its ambitions, a part of it, not least the electric locomotives, survives in model form thanks to this 009 layout in a modest area, constructed by Angus Watkins. Multi-geographical - To complement his Somerset & Dorset modelling, and to accommodate stock from his favoured Midland Railway, Paul Stephens has built a section of N gauge line with interchangeable scenery.
