It is with some sadness that I must report that this is my last issue of SAM. When I joined SAM last year, I was asked to make the magazine more international and expand its appeal. From the outset, I wanted to do that by attracting more readers from different backgrounds and with different tastes, while still honouring our loyal readers and their interests and tastes. I wanted SAM to have broad appeal with aircraft modellers, especially those with a keen interest in research as well as howto build models. I am proud to think that together with the superb authors and contributors to this great magazine, we have done that; and with that challenge accomplished to the extent to which I feel I am capable, I have decided to move on to new challenges. I want to thank everyone that has contributed to the success of this publication, even through Covid, SAM has remained as strong as ever, which has been no mean achievement, and I want to thank:Tom, Kim and Alan, Guideline EiC David Grummitt, Lincoln for his great design, Paul Lucas for his superb research, Jan for his great profiles; and Colin, Jon, Yoav, Rick, Paolo, James, Ugur, Rene, Aurelio, Anders, Oliver, Angel, Rafal, Jeremy, Phil, Harvey, Clay, and all the others that have contributed to the success of SAM over the last 14 months. I'd also like to thank all the advertisers and traders that have supported SAM while I have been here.
Most of all though dear readers, I want to thank you for reading during my brief tenure in your magazine.
