Amongst the most spectacular was the Great Western's Old Oak Common - a true 'cathedral of steam' if ever there was one with its four covered turntables. On June 26 1963 at the depot are 'Hall' No. 6942 Eshton Hall and 'Castle' 4-6-0s Nos. 5057 Earl Waldegrave and 7029 Clun Castle.
