FRONT COVER - One of the best-known of the A4 4-6-2s No.60007 Sir Nigel Gresley (the 100th Gresley Pacific) on 23rd May 1959, when it hauled the Stephenson Locomotive Society's 'Golden Jubilee' special from King's Cross to Doncaster and back. During the return journey No.60007 achieved a speed of ll2mph, a post-war record for steam.
