EATURES A UNIQUE GATHERING On 8 August 2014, under leaden skies, an Avro Lancaster emerged from the gloom to touch down at RAF Coningsby; no unusual sight at the station that houses the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. This was, however, an exceptional event.
