MINT IMPERIAL - Before the 'Million Dollar Look' and the 'Forward Look', Chryslers were noted for their reserved, conservative styling, and epitomising this patrician attitude was the top of the line Imperial. Erik Stigsson, our man in Sweden, tracked down this immaculate example of a 1951 Imperial convertible - it's a beauty, we're sure you'll agree.

FUN UP NORTH! - This year's American Auto Club North West's Northern Nationals was held at a new venue for the first time - Grappenhall, near Warrington. Well, they say a change is as good as a holiday, and certainly this year's event was as much fun as previous years. We went along to check it out.

THE WORD IS SPREADING - The official reappearance of Cadillac and Chevrolet niche vehicles here in the UK is the talk of the town. And judging by the amount of publicity already generated, the novelty shows no signs of wearing off.

EIGHTIES' MUSTANG: MODERN DAY MUSCLE CAR? - It's been a while since we've done a Buyer's Guide, so we've tracked down very desirable little power package tha represents excellent value for money, 100 per cent performance and a very practical size for European roads. For those in the know, it's no surprise to discover we're talking about that Eighties' classic, the 5.0 Mustang.

CRAZY HORSES AT CADDY'S DINER - In keeping with this month's Mustang flavour, we sent Bob Clarke along to Caddy's Diner, near Amsterdam, to report on a Dutch Mustang get-together The cars were great - and so was the food ...

THE '59 ALTERNATIVE - '59 Cadillacs? '59 Chevrolets? Yes, but '59 Oldsmobiles - these are a bit of an unknown quantity, and certainly in the UK a convertible version is a rarity indeed. Will Shiers went along to catch a glimpse of this rarely seen beast with its proud owner.

WESSEX WONDERS - Paul Bussey took his camera along to the Tenth Anniversary Wessex Rod and Custom Club Show at Bovington Tank Museum, Dorset. Did he have fun? Boy, did he!

HOT DODGE (WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS) - America: land of the free, home of the brave. It's also home to some mighty Dodges (as well as some rather dodgy politicians). Jim Maxwell knew he was in the presence of greatness when he went along to photograph this highly modified '63 Ramcharger. Colour me gone!

EXHAUSTING MEASURES - There are a few things in your car's life that are inevitably going to wear out and need replacing: tyres, batteries and, of course, exhausts. Forget the fast-fit centres; we took our raggedy old daily driver Chevrolet along to Pipecraft, Essex, for a new exhaust and got the low-down on the ins and outs of exhausts from the boys who know.

DOUBLE DELIGHT - Boudicca Scherazard gets our vote for Cadillac Enthusiast of the Year. She runs not one but two Cadillacs on a daily basis: a 1978 Coupe De Ville for the winter and a 1975 Eldorado Convertible for the summer. That's one stylish lady!

DIP IN LUKEWARM WATER FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS...That's what the instructions say on these vintage decals, which American motorists used to plaster on the windows of their vehicles to show where they had been on vacation or on road trips. Collector Eijk shares with us some of his favourite decals. Nostalgia? You bet!
