The late Francis William Pounder bought a good quality camera to take action pictures of steam engines just before the war when he was only 17 years old. The pictures could have so easily become lost but Francisa€ nephew Maurice Burns acquired the negatives and is fortunately able to present a selection of pictures, published here for the very first time.
