This issue is packed with diverse articles to interest all model boat builders. We have Part One (of two) of an in-depth review of the new Models By Design Trawler Cat. This is an unusual model with plenty of scope for personalisation. In addition, Phil Button makes a welcome return as he describes how his grandson rapidly built a steam powered Tiddler model and Anthony Addams super-details Doris, the 13 inch long Puffer kit from Model Slipway. There is a report from the very successful 2012 Model Boat Convention held at Haydock Park, which is a non-profit making event run by modellers for modellers, which this year attracted 23 traders and 27 clubs. In addition, Dave Wooley visited the MPBA Scale National Finals at Balne Moor and Readers' Models has articles about some fine models of HMS Ajax and HMS Bulwark. There are also the usual regulars of BMPRS News, a Maritime Stockholm Gallery by David Walter, Boiler Room, Mooring Post, Collectors' Corner Minis, Test Bench, Around the Clubs and of course your Free Private Advertisements.
