This issue we have a scratch built 1880 schooner, Lottie S. Haskins, constructed by the Reverend Peter Spencer, Part One of a look at HMS Ark Royal by Dave Wooley in his Range Finder column and a model of another 'flying boat' built by Ashley Needham for his son. Colin Bishop views Chatham Historic Dockyard from a model builders' point of view and Guy Morgan explains the 'ins and cuts' of the different types of modern batteries used in our models. James Pottinger gives us some useful background information about container ships and Richard Simpson continues with Part Four of his mini series on the basics of steam power for model boats. The Gallery is of Portsmouth tugs by David Walter, which should provide inspiration for model boat builders. In addition there are the usual regular features and more.
