The booklet ha& been prepared by the Radio and Television Interference laboratory of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and describes in simple, practical terms how to set about eliminating the trouble. It is worth mentioning that among the cures suggested is the relatively simple and inexpensive matter of ensuring that all parts are clean and in good adjustment. It is only too true that dirty commutators and mucky track increase the TV interference, as well as impairing the performance. Additional copies of this booklet will, of course, be available at 5p each when required.
It is perhaps ironic that at a time when the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications have been so helpful, the G.P.O., because of the strike has made matters difficult. However, thanks to the wholehearted co-operation of everybody concerned, production of this issue went on more or less normal lines, but we are short of Reader's Letters, and the bulk of " Opportunity Yours " has, alas, been lost. We also regret that direct subscribers have to wait until the end of the strike for their copies. We are sure that everyone will appreciate that these difficulties were completely beyond our control.
