Cover: In this issue of Steam Days Klaus Marx recalls his introduction to London Transport steam from 1945, and his fascination with these locomotives on the LT system. Here we see Peckett 0-6-0ST No L53 displaying the handsome livery used by London Transport for its steam locomotives in this scene at Neasden depot on 1 June 1957. No L53 was originally Metropolitan Railway No 101, and was withdrawn in 1960.
